Individual PLC control

Individual PLC control provides precise management of each lighting point through power line communication (PLC) using LiteLINE technology. Each luminaire is equipped with a PLC node, allowing remote switching, dimming, and diagnostics. A central controller installed in a cabinet communicates with software platforms via GSM or Ethernet, enabling full remote access and configuration. Through power line communication (PLC), control signals are transmitted over the existing power lines without the need for any additional control wiring—only the power supply line is used.

We recommend this solution in most projects, as PLC (Power Line Communication) offers the most cost-effective hardware option among all individual lighting control methods. Since PLC technology transmits control signals by modulating the frequency of the power line, it is especially well-suited for installations where a dedicated power line is available for lighting, without third-party connections or interference

Individual wired control of each lighting point is achieved through power line communication (PLC), a technology that transmits control signals by modulating the frequency of the existing power line.

LiWAVE is DITRA’s specialized radio-frequency technology designed specifically for smart outdoor lighting networks. Operating on license-free frequencies (868/915 MHz), it creates a dedicated, secure communication channel between lighting nodes and a central base station.

GSM-based nodes communicate directly with cloud platforms via mobile networks (2G/3G/4G), eliminating the need for additional base stations. Each node has its own SIM card and connects directly to the software.

  • Full control of each lighting point

  • No need for separate data cabling

  • Detailed diagnostics and energy monitoring per luminaire

  • Remote access and configuration via GSM or Ethernet

  • Support for energy meter integration

  • Power status monitoring at the inputs and outputs

  • Schedule configuration (on/off/dimming)

  • Stable work in areas where wireless is limited or restricted

  • Low cost compared to radio or GSM-based solutions

  • Easy scalability

  • Control cabinet is not required

  • Requires new or clean power lines without third-party connections* *In some cases, the issue of third-party connections can be resolved by using a power line filter. We offer a line testing service prior to installation.

  • Not applicable in areas with dense high-rise development

  • The equipment cost is higher comparing to the PLC-based solution

  • Requires SIM card installation for each node, which makes GSM the most expensive solution
